2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Black Review

New Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2012 Price, Review, Specifications, Pictures, Wallpaper, Engine, Suspensions, Performances, Feature, Steering, Interior and Exterior. The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is a crossover with underpinnings based on the larger Mitsubishi Outlander. It features seating for five-passengers, ample storage, economical engine and transmission, and modern Mitsubishi styling.

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport also shies away from sport-utility cues. From most angles, it ends up looking more like a tall hatch, and the blunt, sharklike front end looks just as good here as it does in the Outlander and Lancer family. With different sheetmetal than the Outlander, and a rising beltline crease that helps keep from looking too slab-sided it looks sporty from the front, yet from the rear it’s disappointingly bland and ordinary-looking. Inside, the Outlander Sport looks influenced by the more upscale Outlander, but falls victim to the basic Lancer models’ drab interior trims. Mitsubishi has already added more bright trim to the 2012 model, which helps somewhat.

The Outlander Sport standard engine is a 148-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Standard features on the Outlander Sport include seven-airbags, vehicle stability control, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, hill start assist, heated mirrors, body-colored door handles, LED tail lamps, traction control, and a tire-pressure monitor. A chrome tailpipe finisher, Xenon headlights, illuminated vanity mirrors, heated front seats, automatic climate control and passive entry make the SE trim unique.

The 2012 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet’s touchscreen navigation system, which includes Bluetooth streaming audio, moves from the standard equipment list to a stand-alone option.

Power comes from the same 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6 producing 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque that is found in the standard Murano, mated to an Xtronic CVT. Fuel economy comes in at 17 city, 22 highway miles per gallon. The 2012 Murano CrossCabriolet starts at $45,350, including an $810 destination charge. Josh Clifton, a Nissan spokesman, told Inside Line on Friday that the automaker does not separate Murano CrossCabriolet sales, so he was unable to provide a specific sales number.

2012 Mazda3 Sport Skyactiv Black Review

New Mazda3 Sport Skyactiv 2012 Price, Review, Specifications, Pictures, Wallpaper, Engine, Suspensions, Performances, Feature, Steering, Interior and Exterior. For the 2012 model year, Mazda has introduced an all-new 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder Skyactiv-G engine. We sat through a PowerPoint presentation to learn about its technical intricacies. In layman’s terms, engineers were able to precisely control combustion to allow the new direct-injected engine to run with a Ferrari-like high compression ratio (up to 14:1, depending on the market and fuel octane). With continuously variable dual sequential valve timing (dual S-VT) on the intake and exhaust, the result is 155 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. More impressively, fuel economy has leaped upwards.

The engine will pair with Mazda’s new SKYACTIV six-speed automatic transmission, which features an aggressive lock-up clutch for the torque converter. This, combined with the efficient engine, has Mazda hoping for an EPA rating of 30 mpg city/40 highway for the 2012 3—that’s up from bests of 25/33 and 22/29, respectively, for the current 2.0 and 2.5. Stick lovers can rest easy, as the engine will also be available with the company’s slick six-speed manual—although the company isn’t yet revealing the fuel economy for that combo.
